NEW BRAUNFELS, Texas — A woman is in critical condition after a head-on crash in New Braunfels late Saturday night.
Police say around 10:40 p.m., a man driving a pickup truck on northbound Highway 337 veered into the southbound lanes.
They say he slammed into a car with two people. A woman in the car was flown to SAMMC in critical condition.
The man driving the car was not hurt.
The driver of the pickup truck was charged with intoxication assault.
Highway 337 had to be closed for about four hours to clean up the accident scene.
