SAN ANTONIO - After the air conditioning system reportedly stopped cooling the Memorial High School graduation ceremony Tuesday night, the Edgewood Independent School District addressed concerns.

In a statement posted to Facebook, Edgewood ISD said San Antonio ISD would like to apologize to the students, families and Memorial High School staff after the outage at the SAISD-owned Alamo Convocation Center.

"This was the result of a computer glitch that followed a controls system upgrade, which a vendor performed earlier in the day," EISD said in a statement.

The distict also said it would "bypass the controls system" for Wednesday's graduation ceremony to ensure the issue does not happen again.

EISD also said the HVAC vendor will cover the cost of Edgewood's contract with SAISD.
