Sunday radar: Western Hill Country storms moving toward SA

Heavy rain is bringing the risk of flooding to San Antonio on Sunday. There have also been reports of high winds and lightning.

UPDATE: 8:43 p.m. - Storms have moved east, out of the area, according to the National Weather Service.

Storms are rolling into Bexar County as of 5:15 p.m. Sunday, bringing heavy rain, strong winds, and frequent cloud to ground lightning, according to the NWS. An areal Flood Advisory has been issued issued for parts of Bexar, Atoscosa, and Wilson counties.

Heavy rain is the main concern in Bexar County, according to the National Weather Service.

A storm moving from the southwest part of Bexar County to the northeast will move through the area between 5:30 and 6:30 p.m. Sunday.

In other storm news, there was a tornado that touched down near Leander Sunday morning, NWS confirmed.

The National Weather Service reminds everyone to "turn around, don't drown" and avoid low crossing areas.
