SAN ANTONIO — A 17-year-old has been arrested and police say they have enough to charge him with murder after a shooting on the southwest side.
Juan Carlos Garcia was arrested Monday for the shooting of Christian Santos on December 5. Authorities say an argument over drugs and money turned deadly.
Witnesses said a man was being chased down the street by two other men. They went into a vacant house and the first man ended up getting shot. The other two men fled the scene and the victim was taken to the hospital in critical condition.
When officers arrived at the corner of Huron and Vermont Street, they found 16-year-old Christian Santos lying face down on the street. He was taken to the hospital, where he passed away Sunday morning.
Authorities believe there is one more person that was there at the homicide. No warrant has been issued for him yet, but police say they are looking for him.
