KENS 5's Deborah Knapp working 1979 parade route when deadly Battle of Flowers shooting ensues
Ira Attaberry barricaded himself inside his RV and began randomly firing into the crowd who had gathered for the parade along Broadway Rd. A standoff occurred and by the time the bullets stopped flying - three people, including Attaberry were dead. KENS 5's Deborah Knapp was one of the first on scene to speak with the frightened onlookers.
