Meredith Haas is a multimedia journalist for KENS 5 in San Antonio.
She joined the KENS 5 team in March 2024 after reporting and fill-in anchoring for almost two years at the TEGNA affiliate KCEN in Central Texas.
Meredith comes to San Antonio excited to revisit the beautiful city she grew up visiting with her family. Meredith has roots in Texas with family and friends in Dallas all the way to Galveston.
Born in Mississippi, Meredith and her family ended up in Pennsylvania, which is where she started her journalism career in print news, ultimately landing her first TV news job as an assignment editor at NBC10 in Philadelphia. While she earned a bachelor’s degree from Temple University, Meredith also reported on-air.
If Meredith isn’t out reporting, you can find her gardening, enjoying nature, hanging out with her cat or chatting with her long-distance family and friends. With her love for exploring and meeting new people, Meredith will always be out at small businesses, restaurants and coffee shops chatting with everyone in San Antonio!
