Rania Kaur is a multimedia journalist and reporter for KENS 5 in San Antonio, Texas.
She joined the KENS 5 team in January 2024. She’s passionate about connecting communities and informing viewers, and most often you can find her at KENS 5 covering San Antonio City Hall and the Bexar County Commissioners Court.
She started her career in Lake Charles, Louisiana, reporting on the pandemic, catastrophic hurricanes, flooding, and even a presidential visit!
Previously, she was a reporter in Spokane, Washington, where she covered the tragic deaths of four University of Idaho students who were murdered in their home, and the growing homelessness crisis on the West Coast.
While she’s originally from the Seattle area, Rania has family ties to Texas.
In her free time, Rania enjoys trying new restaurants (and loves a good recommendation), reading a good book, singing Indian classical music, watching the latest Bollywood movie, and exploring all that San Antonio has to offer! She is so excited to make Texas her new home.
