Michael Humphries is the chief photographer at KENS 5 in San Antonio, Texas.
He started in television in 1988 with stops in Victoria and Bryan-College Station before arriving in San Antonio in 1993. He has worked for KENS 5 since 1997.
Michael is the most award-winning journalist in San Antonio television history, with well over 200 awards, including Emmys, Texas Associated Press Broadcasters awards, Edward R. Murrow awards, Houston Press Club Lone Star awards, and National Press Photographers Association quarterly contest awards.
He was raised in Kenedy, Texas, and is a U.S. Army and Texas Army National Guard tank crew veteran. He and his wife of nearly 30 years have two adult daughters.
His interests include cooking, photography, history, competitive napping and putting up with his cat, Edward R. Purrow.
