SAN ANTONIO — Santikos is celebrating the continuation of the phenomenally successful "Alien" franchise with a huge statue that aims to stop people on their way to the concession stand.

In honor of the upcoming film "Alien: Romulus" coming to theatres this Friday, Santikos has set up a massive statue of the terrifying, villainous xenomorph.

The statue stands over 10-feet-tall and really puts into perspective the antagonist within the franchise.

Guests can visit the Palladium location at the Rim shopping area to get a glimpse of the figure.

“We have an incredible lineup of films at Santikos, but we are extremely excited for Alien: Romulus to hit the big screen,” said Digital Media Manager Lexi Hazlett. “We hope people tag us in their photos and videos with the statue, and we may share it to our social media pages!”

"Alien: Romulus" is directed by Fede Alvarez and takes the sci-fi/horror-thriller back to its roots.

While scavenging an abandoned space station, a group of young space colonizers come face-to-face with the dreaded, dangerous life form. The movie features several stars including Cailee Spaeny, Archie Renaux and Isabela Merced.

The movie takes place between the end of the original "Alien" movie and its sequel from 1986.
