Wakey wakey for ‘Breeky Sandwich’: the self-proclaimed best breakfast sandwich in the state! | Neighborhood Eats

Start your morning with 'Breeky Sandwich' scrambled eggs that will help you start your day sunny-side up!

SAN ANTONIO — A brand-new restaurant by the name of Breeky Sandwich promises the best breakfast sandwiches you’ll try in the Alamo City – and the state!

Chef and owner Mike Nguyen says his sandwiches have Korean-inspired flair. The restaurant blends Asian and Texan cultures for a flavorful experience.

“I wanted to bring something different and unique to San Antonio,” Nguyen said.

Bringing that exclusive flavor to breakfast menus takes time to curate.

“The attention to detail in every food done in that sandwich is for a reason, and it has a purpose.”

Opening up shop in May this year – his sandwiches like the ‘Birds Up Breeky’ is a crowd pleaser. This sandwich is dedicated to UTSA.

“Double hash brown, double sausage, double bacon, double eggs, double cheese, so just a big meaty sandwich,” Nguyen said. “This is your Texas-sized sandwich here,” Nguyen said.

The ‘Delilah Skye Breeky’ – named after his friend – features avocado, crispy bacon and fluffy eggs.

A menu item that will be available next week is ‘Jubee’!

“Mixture between Nashville-hot chicken, and chicken and waffles,” he said. “You get that spice it hits you but once you get that sweetness, it tames it.”

This is just a little taste of what you can expect from Breeky Sandwich
