AUSTIN, Texas —
It's the Monday after the second weekend of the Austin City Limits Music Festival.
Scores of tired festivalgoers are sitting in traffic on State Highway 71. They'll wait in line to be dropped off at Austin-Bergstrom International Airport, check bags, go through security and board their planes. They might even get some tacos or barbecue one more time before their flight.
But the Texas heat, dust and crowds couldn't stop the good vibes for the thousands of ACL attendees over the past two weekends. As usual, there were unforgettable moments, surprise guests, great music, food, fashion and so much more!
Here are some of the best moments we captured from both weekends of ACL 2024.
Day 1
A tradition, Austin-based western swing band Asleep at the Wheel opened up the festival at exactly 12:55 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 4.
There were plenty of Instagram-friendly installations available to festivalgoers all throughout both weekends, including these 3D initials.
Country singer Tanner Adell, from Manhattan Beach, California, performed songs from her 2023 album, "Buckle Bunny."
Veteran vocalist Norah Jones played piano in front of a dazzling backdrop.
Singer-songwriter Stephen Sanchez crooned to the crowd, transporting them to the 1950s.
Fort Worth native Leon Bridges wore his Texas Longhorns gear on stage for his set.
Pop-punk legends Blink-182 headlined the Honda Stage on Friday night.
Day 2
Austin-based Vietnamese American pop-rap artist promqueen opened the first Saturday of ACL.
Teddy Swims blended elements of pop, soul and country music for his Saturday set.
"Mean Girls" actress and singer Reneé Rapp performed songs from her debut album, "Snow Angel."
Day 3
The ACL dust returned for 2024. One of the most popular fashion accessories of the weekend was a bandana worn bandit style.
With temperatures in the high 90s each weekend of ACL, music fans did their best to stay hydrated and keep cool throughout the festival.
Students from School of Rock Austin performed their set at "Austin Kiddie Limits."
Chappell Roan was not officially the headliner for Sunday, but you wouldn't know it by the size of the crowd for her electric performance.
Weekend 2
Day 1
Huston-Tillotson University Jazz Collective played an early set on the Tito's stage.
It was a big weekend for Texas Longhorn fans. Texas played OU in the Red River Rivalry. Fans took time out between sets to watch the game in The Big Tent.
Vermont-based band Sir Chloe played songs from their debut album, "I Am The Dog."
ACL veteran performers Foster the People took to the Honda Stage both weekends.
Country singer Chris Stapleton was joined on stage by Austin's very own living legend, Willie Nelson.
Day 2
Pop sensation Dua Lipa closed Saturday of the second ACL weekend.
Day 3
Grammy-award-winning English singer-songwriter Jess Glynne performed Sunday evening of the final weekend of ACL 2024.
It was a fun weekend for music fans. We caught this little fan taking a much-needed nap between sets.
