You can see Tanya Tucker for free in Austin this Saturday

The free concert will be held on Sept. 21, ahead of the Longhorns' game against ULM.

AUSTIN, Texas — Country music legend and native Texan Tanya Tucker will take the stage for the Longhorn City Limits concert this Saturday, Sept. 21.

Ahead of the Longhorns' game against the University of Louisiana Monroe (ULM), Still Austin Whiskey Co. will host the free concert, with a headlining performance by Tucker. Fellow Texas native Kathryn Legendre will open.

Legendre will take the stage at 3:30 p.m., followed by Tucker at 5 p.m., on the University of Texas at Austin's LBJ Lawn. Kickoff for the game against ULM is at 7 p.m.

"It’s so exciting welcoming country royalty Tanya Tucker to the Forty Acres and Longhorn City Limits," Chris Del Conte, UT's vice president and athletics director, said. "Longhorn Nation can look forward to a memorable night on the LBJ Lawn celebrating her incredible legacy before another fantastic Texas Football gameday."

Tucker is a Country Music Hall of Fame member who has won multiple Grammy and CMA Awards. Across her 50-plus-year career, she has been known for her recognizable rasp, rebellious reputation and classic hits like "Delta Dawn" – originally released when she was just 13 – "Texas" and "It's a Little Too Late." She has had No. 1 records in every decade but one since the 1970s.

Silent disco and food and beverages available at Longhorn City Limits

Also planned for Saturday is the return of the postgame silent disco. Three live DJs will spin tunes that fans can listen to using wireless headphones, with their choice of three different channels.

Fans 21 and older will also be able to enjoy refreshments at the Still Austin Music Lounge and the Tito's Tailgate, including specialty cocktails and discounted beer.

Hungry fans can also grab some grub from Pinkerton's BBQ, a Houston-based barbecue joint known for its brisket sandwiches, turkey and more.
