SAN ANTONIO — Rock Legend and co-founder of KISS, Gene Simmons, is coming to San Antonio next year.

The Tobin Center announced Monday that the Gene Simmons Band will perform at the H-E-B Performance Hall on May 23, 2025 at 8 p.m. The band consists of Simmons, Brent Woods, Sebastian Bach and Vince Neil.

The Tobin Member Pre-Sale is going on now.

Simmons and KISS co-founder Paul Stanley met in 1970 and formed their first band, Wicked Lester. And though the band gained a following in New York, Stanley and Simmons wanted to created the "ultimate" rock band. In 1972 the duo formed KISS with original band members Peter Criss and Paul "Ace" Frehley.

Simmons was inspired by comic books and horror films to create his iconic face paint. The elaborate costumes, special effects and unique stage presence helped KISS become one of the most recognized rock and roll bands in the world. Their dedicated fanbase around the world is known as the KISS Army.

The band has played at sold-out stadiums and arenas around the globe and has broken box-office records set by Elvis and The Beatles.

KISS received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in 1999 and was inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in 2014.

The band held its last two concerts in December 2023 at Madison Square Garden in New York.
