Media site Buzzfeed attempted a little experiment Friday and streamed it live through Facebook, which recently rolled out the service to more users. The test: how many rubber bands would it take to get a watermelon to blow up?

At one point, more than 800,000 viewers were awaiting the results of the experiment. To put it in perspective, Deadline reports CNN reported 417,000 during prime time hours.

Earlier this week, Facebook added several features to entice more users to enjoy the service. Facebook is also playing the videos more prominently to convince more users to watch them.

By the way, they needed 690 rubber bands.
