Santikos opens more theaters for opening night of 'Avengers: Endgame'

Be a hero by simply coming to the movies!

SAN ANTONIO — When tickets went on sale for Avengers Endgame, most theater chains experienced crashing websites and overwhelming amounts of calls. Santikos has managed to endure the wave and open several additional theaters for the most anticipated of the MCU's (Marvel Cinematic Universe) historic decade of hero flicks.

When John L. Santikos passed away in 2014, his love and commitment to the community lived on through his charitable foundation, Santikos Entertainment, and the San Antonio Area Foundation. Today, movie-goers are welcomed to enjoy their favorite flicks while giving back to the community.

“Every single dollar that you spend here, whether that’s getting drinks, nachos, or popcorn, it all goes back into the community, and that makes you a hero,” said Madison Penwick, Santikos Palladium bartender.

Proceeds of every dollar spent go toward developing grants for hard-working local non-profit organizations.

KENS5 Heroes Night welcomes Marvel and DC comic fanatics to the Palladium for cosplay costume contests, special prizes, and the first look at Avengers Endgame. Thursday, April 25 at 3:30 p.m., fans are expected to swarm the lobby of the Palladium for the fun. The demand for this film was so great that Santikos was approved as a theater chain to provide additional showings.
