SAN ANTONIO — Whataburger announced it's first-ever Fortnite Tournament Monday morning where winners can walk away with $25,000 in cash prizes.
In the tournament, "Breakfast in Bedwars" players try to defend their beds while simultaneously launching attacks on their opponents bases. The competition will take place on an all-new daytime map that focuses on early morning coffee runs and breakfast foods to kick off the day. The tournament will also feature iconic Whataburger characters and restaurant items.
From July 8 through July 15, players 13-years-old and up can submit their entries to participate in the tournament. Any players under the age of 18 will be required to submit a parental consent form.
Players must post their best clips of playing the new Whataburger "Breakfast in Bedwars" map on X (formerly known as Twitter) with the hashtag #BreakfastInBedwars. The players with the top 16 submissions will be chosen to compete in the tournament as captains and can bring two teammates into battle for the exclusive qualifier on July 17 - which will be a single elimination bracket.
The top four teams will advance to the main event on July 22 for the chance to compete alongside Fortnite creators for a share of the $25,000 prize pool. First-place winners will clutch the share of the $10,000 grand prize.
