DURANT, Okla. — A North Texas woman is the first person to win $1 million as part of a Choctaw Casino & Resort promotion.
The 30-year-old woman, who chose to remain anonymous, is the first winner in the 3 months, 3 millionaires promotion at Choctaw, the casino and resort said in a press release Sunday.
She is one of three rewards club members who will win a million from three grand prize drawings this summer. Choctaw Casinos will give away a total of $5.8 million this summer, the release states.
“I couldn’t believe it,” the North Texas woman said, according to the release. “I was just beaming that my name was called. I was teasing my husband that they were going to call his name, and then they called mine. I still can’t believe it.”
She plans to use her winnings to travel and pay off her recently purchased house, according to the release.
The two remaining million-dollar drawings will be held on July 27 and August 24 at 1 a.m., winners must be present to claim the prize. Players started earning entries to the three drawings on May 26 at 12 a.m. For full rules go here.
