Thirteen-year-old Miss Elizabeth is looking for her 'Forever Family'

Pleasanton born foster kiddo hoping to find her south Texas adoptive family.

SAN ANTONIO — Born in Pleasanton thirteen years ago, foster child Elizabeth would love to find her 'Forever Family' in south Texas. She currently lives within the child welfare system in Dallas, but hopes to be adopted by any loving family where she was born.

We met the sweet young lady at San Antonio's Hardberger Park and she shared some of who she is.

"I'm in eighth grade," she said. "I'll be in ninth next year."

Are you excited to be a freshman in high school, I asked?

"No! I'm scared," she said.

That's okay, we were probably all nervous about leaving junior high for the big ranks.

Elizabeth told us she'd like to help kids when she grows up.

"I was at church and I helped the teachers with kids and that has made me wanna work with kids," she said.

Elizabeth told us she loves sports along with doing her makeup and hair. She also loves watching tv and listening to music. And that's when I asked her if she was a 'Swiftie'?

"No!," she exclaimed. "My brother is though!"

And then we finally got down to business asking Miss Elizabeth what it might mean to her to have her own 'Forever Family'.

"Like how people go out and have fun together," she said. "I think that would really make me feel like I have a family."

She told us she dreams of having her own mom and dad with some baby brothers and sisters.

Elizabeth has a beautiful smile and we finished the interview by me telling her to look at the camera and say "Adopt me in Pleasanton!".

She said do that right now? I said, yup! And so she did. "Adopt me in Pleasanton!," she said, smiling.
