SAN ANTONIO — Are you ready for the Super Bowl on Sunday? Because it's time to get your plans in order.
One of the most important parts of the big game is the food. Lots of people order pizza and wings from nearby restaurants but they risk long wait times, so KENS 5 has a couple of simple appetizer recipes you can make in the crockpot or slow cooker.
One of the dishes is almost a necessity at any Super Bowl party - which is obviously chips and dip. We made Jalapeno Corn Dip - which we found on My Heavenly Recipes. The dip is affordable and goes perfectly with tortilla chips.
After gorging yourself on chips and dip you might find yourself wanting something filling and full of protein so we decided to make Slow-Cooker Grape Jelly Meatballs - which we found from Delish. It's super easy to make and only requires 4 ingredients.
Below are the directions for both dishes.
Jalapeno Corn Dip Ingredients:
3 cans of whole kernel corn
2 jalapenos
1 cup of shredded Colby Jack cheese
2/3 cup of sour cream
One 8 oz. block of cream cheese
1 lime
Cilantro
Queso Fresco
Tajin Seasoning
Tortilla Chips
Jalapeno Corn Dip Directions:
Add 3 cans of whole corn to your slow cooker
2 diced jalapenos
1 cup of shredded Colby Jack cheese
2/3 cup of sour cream
One 8oz block of cream cheese
And add a dash of the most important ingredient, Tajin seasoning
Cook on low for two hours and stir occasionally
Garnish with cilantro, queso fresco and a squeeze of lime.
Serve and enjoy!
Meatball Slider Ingredients:
One 2lb bag of frozen meatballs (whichever you prefer, we used homestyle)
