Easy Friendsgiving recipes to make in just a few simple steps

SAN ANTONIO — The holidays are just around the corner which means it's the perfect time to stuff your face!

But cooking and baking can be time consuming so KENS 5 found some simple, trending recipes you can make in a short amount of time. 

These recipes will work for Thanksgiving, friendsgiving, or any holiday gathering. 

No Bake Pumpkin Cheesecake Ingredients:

  • One whole angel food cake (premade or homemade)
  • One and a half containers of 12oz whipped cream cheese 
  • One can of pumpkin puree (make sure its pure pumpkin)
  • Two teaspoons of vanilla extract
  • 3/4 cup of brown sugar 
  • Pumpkin pie spice (season to your liking)
  • One 16oz container of whipped topping or cool whip  
  • Half a bag of ginger snap cookies 

No Bake Pumpkin Cheesecake Directions: 

  • Cut angel food cake into small squares and set aside.
  • In a bowl add cream cheese, pumpkin puree, vanilla extract, brown sugar and pumpkin pie spice - mix together for a creamy consistency.
  • Crush some ginger snap cookies and put aside.
  • In a bowl or trifle, layer your ingredients starting with angel food cake, the pumpkin mixture, ginger snap pieces, and cool whip.
  • Repeat until bowl is full and finish with pumpkin pie spice.  
  • Scoop and enjoy!

Cranberry Jalapeno Dip Ingredients: 

  • 12 oz bag of cranberries
  • 16oz of whipped cream cheese
  • Lemon juice
  • Cilantro
  • 1/4 cup of chopped green onions
  • Sugar
  • 1or 2 jalapenos deseeded (depending on size and spiciness you prefer) 

Cranberry Jalapeno Dip Directions: 

  • Chop cranberries, cilantro, green onions and deseeded jalapenos and place in bowl. 
  • Add ¾ cup of sugar, sprinkle some salt, one tablespoon of lemon juice. 
  • Stir until everything is coated, cover with plastic wrap and let sit overnight.
  • Next day, drain the bowl. 
  • Then put cream cheese in separate bowl and layer cranberry mixture on top. 
  • Serve with Ritz crackers.
