H-E-B recalls Mi Tienda Pollo Casero for mislabeling, undeclared allergen

The store said Mi Tienda Pollo Casero was sold at 114 stores company-wide with a sell-by date of October 12, 2017. The packaging ingredient list was mislabeled as Mi Tienda Al Pastor Pork and did not declare a wheat allergen.

SAN ANTONIO – H-E-B issued a health and safety recall for Mi Tienda Pollo Casero for mislabeling and undeclared allergen on Monday.

The store said Mi Tienda Pollo Casero was sold at 114 stores company-wide with a sell-by date of October 12, 2017. The packaging ingredient list was mislabeled as Mi Tienda Al Pastor Pork and did not declare a wheat allergen.

The voluntary recall impacts Mi Tienda Pollo Casero (23841700000 364185) with the Freeze By/Sell By date of 10/12.

If you have an allergy or severe sensitivity to wheat, you run the risk of a serious allergic reaction if you consume this product. So far, no illnesses have been reported.

H-E-B said all products currently in stores is safe to consume.
