SAN ANTONIO -- The Home and Garden Show will be taking over the Alamodome this weekend.
KENS 5 got to take a look at some of the hottest products that will be featured.
More than 400 vendors are set to take over the Alamodome, and they were setting up their products Thursday.
"The home and garden show here in San Antonio is full of everything from the front door to the backyard," Home and Garden Show coordinator, Lauren SanMartin said.
Whether you are looking for home improvement options or needing a backyard transformation, the home and garden show has something for everyone.
That also includes some new and innovative products.
"I would say smart home type of security products are huge right now. Pergolas and outdoor living is huge right now, as well as tiny homes, efficient living and ways to reduce your energy. Solar things and all of those are really big right now," SanMartin said.
Tuff Sheds is one of those companies that is using a well known product in a new way.
The company is converting a traditional shed into an office, garden or reading nook.
"I would say it's just a more affordable solution. It's adding space to an area that is disconnected from the home," SanMartin said.
A twist on the traditional pergola could also help you go green.
"Sometimes putting solar modules on the roof isn't always applicable. We have designed a unique system of building unique custom pergolas for people's homes, garages or even backyards," Tesla Solar CEO Anthony Regino said.
"Overall, this system will provide you a return on investment. Other pergolas will not provide you a return on investment. It will give you more of an amenity," Regino said.
