Our "Forgotten Friends" series showcases a dog or cat each week that has spent a lengthy time at an area shelter, just waiting for someone to notice them and bring them home to love.

This week, we went to the Animal Defense League on Nacogdoches and met a friendly feline named Baloo. She is a little over one year old and is a feisty feline with a fabulous personality.

Baloo is a gorgeous, domestic shorthair cat who was found abandoned outside. She has a beautiful coat of solid gray fur and loves to be petted. She can be kind of spicy, but that’s because she knows what she wants and she expects her humans to deliver.

She loves treats and will occasionally ask for attention, being very vocal about what she wants. She doesn’t really get along with other cats, but she might do okay with a dog.

"She has the best meow in the world, a little scratchy, a little demanding but when she’s happy (usually because she succeeded in getting her way) it turns into the sweetest little sound," said ADL staff.

She’d do best in a calm, relaxed household with adults. She’s current on all of her vaccines and healthy.

Baloo is quite a princess and would like to rule your world. Want to bring her home with you?
