SAN ANTONIO — A northwest-side business that sells drinks is asking for the public's help during trying times.
The Lemon Girls, located at 2214 N Zarzamora St., is a queer Latina-owned business that sells lemonade, coffee, boba tea and more.
According to a Facebook post, the business is facing "rising costs and challenges beyond their control" and need help from their customers.
They are asking that loyal customers, and potential new customers, would stop by and grab their favorite drink or something new while telling others about their business.
Their full statement reads:
"To our cherished community,
For the past four years, we’ve poured our hearts into every lemonade, coffee, boba tea, and fresh juice we’ve served. The Lemon Girls has been more than just a queer Latina-owned business—it’s been a space for connection, joy, and belonging for our LGBTQ+ family and the Woodlawn Lake community.
But now, we’re at a crossroads. Like so many small businesses, we’re feeling the weight of rising costs and challenges beyond our control. And we can’t keep going without you.
If The Lemon Girls has been part of your routine—your morning coffee spot, your post-school boba stop, or simply a place where you felt at home—we’re asking for your support now more than ever.
Here’s how you can help:
- Stop by and grab your favorite drink or try something new.
- Share this post with friends, family, and neighbors.
- Host your next small event or meeting in our space.
- Let others know about our shared kitchen and catering services.
This holiday season, as you shop and celebrate, remember that every visit, sip, and share helps us stay here for you. Together, we can ensure The Lemon Girls continues to serve love and community for years to come."
