In 1986 a 18-year-old girl was found dead in Hondo Creek. Bexar County detectives are still searching for answers in the cold case.

Tracy Allen was a graduate of East Central High School and had lots of friends, but none of them saw her after September 9, 1986. Detectives says at the time of Tracy's disappearance, all of her belongings were inside the family's residence.

The following days, search teams were launched as friends and family gathered to pray for her safe return home. On September 13, 1986, the teen's body was discovered in Hondo Creek.

Investigators say she had been strangled to death.

The person who did this had to know the area well in order to take the chance of going all the way back to that property on her own property, says Detective Adrian Ramirez.

Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 210- 224-STOP.

We would take some help from people who were very close to her. However, in this case there hasn't been a lot of cooperation, added Ramirez.
