SAN ANTONIO -- The lower level loading zone at the main terminal of the San Antonio International Airport is now open after it was closed due to a fuel spill.

A spokesperson for the airport said a vehicle drove into the airport after already hitting road debris. The driver realized there was a problem with fuel spilling.

About 20 gallons of fuel spilled.

The airport said it kept guests out of the area for a few hours Wednesday afternoon for safety reasons.

Pick-ups and drop-offs were moved to the upper level.
