T-Rex, triceratops and velociraptors at San Antonio Zoo

18 colossal dinosaurs are transforming the zoo into a giant spectacle from May 25 through September 2.

SAN ANTONIO — Dinosaurs are taking over San Antonio Zoo during the Dino Adventure Park, Presented by Bank of Texas that began this past Saturday. 

18 colossal dinosaurs are transforming the zoo into a giant spectacle from May 25 through September 2. 

Guests can view giants from the past like the all-mighty T-Rex, triceratops and velociraptors. Visitors are encouraged to snap up-close pictures with these pre-historic creatures. 

Several of the dinosaurs will be seen alongside common zoo inhabitants like the lions, rhinos and bears. 

"Get ready to roar with excitement as we bring the wonders of the prehistoric era to life right here in San Antonio with Dino Adventure Park, Presented by Bank of Texas," said Tim Morrow, President & CEO of San Antonio Zoo. "This immersive summer experience promises thrills, education, and unforgettable moments for all ages."

There will also be special dino-themed activities like the 4-D dinosaur show, prehistoric fossil dig, and delicious treats and drinks. Guests can also enjoy special appearances by the legendary Dinosaur George on these dates:

  • June 8 - 9
  • July 6 - 7
  • August 17 – 18
