New spooky Halloween-themed attractions coming to San Antonio Botanical Garden

SAN ANTONIO — San Antonio Botanical Garden announced the debut of two new spooky attractions coming this fall. 

"Happy Frights" is a family friendly trick-or-treat adventure that travels through multiple worlds. Along the trek, guests will encounter live actors and several trick-or-treat stations.  

"Haunting Nights" kicks off after dark and offers a more thrilling Halloween experience. This frightening event is for adults and guests 13-years-old and up. 

These events will take place on select dates from October 3 through November 2. "Happy Frights" entry times begin at 5 p.m. and Haunting Nights entry times begin at 8 p.m. Both shows will provide amazing seasonal food and drinks. 

Tickets start at $27.90 per person.

"Happy Frights" and "Haunting Nights" was unveiled as part of a joint-venture between the San Antonio Botanical Garden and Memoir Agency.

Our team has put something together that we know is going to be so fun for every one of our guests. Whether it’s a fun night out with the family or a chance to gather with friends, I’m grateful that we can bring the San Antonio community together for these truly unique and exciting Halloween experiences!”

“Happy Frights” provides guests an opportunity to:

  • Take a family-photo with a 12’ tall jack-o-lantern
  • Meet a dancing bridge troll along the lake’s edge
  • Brave the Dragon’s Den, home to giant dragons
  • Journey through a neon-light maze
  • Climb up a giant hay-pyramid
  • Meet La Catrina and larger-than-life Alebrijes in our Día de los Muertos celebration
  • And so much more!

During “Haunting Nights” guests will experience: 

  • Brave a lagoon filled with swamp creatures
  • Make their way through a maze of surprises in the Neon Labyrinth
  • Celebrate Día de los Muertos with giant Alebrijes and La Catrina
  • Encounter living scarecrows in the Sunflower Field
  • Journey through a 70’ long pumpkin tunnel
  • Watch out for pirates and a flying Davy Jones in “The Barracks”
  • And so much more!
