Pedestrian carrying groceries injured after he was struck by SUV, police say

Police did not mention any charges and an investigation is underway.

SAN ANTONIO — According to San Antonio Police, a man was injured after being struck by an SUV that rolled over multiple times on the north side Wednesday night. 

The incident occurred around 9:30 p.m. Wednesday off 281 and Embassy Oaks. 

Officials say the driver of the SUV was driving south on Frontage Road when she hit a curb causing her vehicle to rollover four to five times. 

The vehicle hit a man who was walking on the sidewalk carrying groceries, according to police. 

Officials say the man was found in the middle of the road taken to the hospital. 

The driver was questioned at the scene and was allowed to leave with family, according to SAPD. 

Police did not mention any charges and an investigation is underway.
