SAN ANTONIO — A mother of three left her apartment on San Antonio's east side Sunday and never returned home.
Police believe she may be in danger.
31-year-old Cindy Gausline walked out the door with nothing but the clothes on her back.
That was the last time her family saw her.
Loved ones told KENS 5 the last time anyone heard from Cindy was on a phone call that same night.
"It's weird because her daughter said she was laughing and smiling as she was walking out the door," said Cindy's brother, James Gausline. "But then she doesn't come home."
In a black dress and high top sneakers, Cindy — nicknamed "Shortie" — left without telling anyone where she was going.
"She told her daughter she'd be back in a couple of hours or by morning," said James. "She didn't even have a car. She left walking, she left on foot."
Loved ones say all of Cindy's personal items are still in her apartment. Family filed a missing persons report the following night with San Antonio Police.
"No matter what, she always kept in contact with a friend, a family friend or one of the family. No matter what, every time she was out and about, someone always knew something," James explained.
Cindy lives at the Seven07 Lofts on the east side off 410 near east Houston St. Her family handed out flyers there Friday.
"The more eyes and ears out there in the community, the closer we might be able to get to something," said James.
Cindy is unemployed. Loved ones say she lost her job after being hit by a truck in July.
Police say she also has a medical condition. She's classified as an endangered missing person, but police couldn't share why.
Cindy's daughter was the last to hear from her. Around 9:30 the night she went missing, a call came in via Facebook messenger from Cindy's account.
"She said she needed to talk to her. Something was going on. She was scared, but she loved her daughter," shared Hannah Medellin, Cindy's niece. "Then the call disconnected and no one's heard from her since."
Cindy is 4'11" with hazel eyes and red curly hair. She has several tattoos including a clown on her hand, a Virgo symbol on her left wrist, SpongeBob on her right arm, an infinity symbol with the words "Through think and thin" on the left side of her chest and "Thomas" in red on her left shoulder.
Loved ones tell us Cindy's three children, ages 6, 11 and 14, are staying with family and friends for now.
