SAN ANTONIO — A local coffee shop collaborated with a popular national chain to launch a one-of-a-kind drink.
PRESS Coffee is premiering its Limoncello Espresso Spritz on Sunday also known at National Coffee Day.
The exclusive drink is made with white chocolate syrup, lemon syrup and vanilla syrup. Topo Chico is added to the body of the drink and finished with 2 oz. of dark roast espresso.
Starting next week several lucky customers will be able to try the new drink for free on a first come, first serve basis.
PRESS Coffee is one of only seven coffee shops in the country that was chosen to create a collaborative drink with the mineral water company.
Dominic Castillo, Marketing Manager for Press Coffee said they have been working on this project for the last two months. Topo Chico had initially held a nationwide competition for coffee shops where the winners would be tasked with creating their own Topo Chico-infused coffee mocktail - that would eventually be sold in their stores.
Castillo said Topo Chico executives were impressed with their Instagram and online presence and felt that the San Antonio coffee shop would be perfect for the launch.
“We’re really proud to be chosen by them,” Castillo said.
The drink will be available at PRESS Coffee throughout the fall season.
The shop is also debuting several fall-themed drinks like their Raspberry Pecan Cold Brew, Pumpkin Spice Latte and Pumpkin Spice Cold Foam.
