SAN ANTONIO — The River Walk, a Hill Country resort, the Tower of the Americas, an underground cave.
One of these things is not like the other when it comes to traditional date spots for Valentine's Day, and you can likely determine which. But Natural Bridge Caverns – the largest tourist attraction of its kind in Texas, located about 30 miles north of San Antonio – is nonetheless inviting Texans to think outside the box (or bouquet) for a one-of-a-kind Valentine's Day dinner in its "magnificent natural ballroom."
That venue just happens to be located 180 feet below the surface.
The attraction's "Deeply in Love" package runs $249 per couple, and features an above-ground wine pairing, a roughly half-mile tour through the Hidden Wonders Cavern, and a four-course dinner complete with champagne and live music. The package will be available for one night only – Feb. 14 – and the business warns tickets "will be extremely limited."
All that's needed from couples: comfortable walking shoes and a hungry stomach.
Natural Bridge Caverns says the experience is reserved for adults 21 and over, and reservations must be made online.
