SAN ANTONIO — A man's body was found on an abandoned golf cart Saturday afternoon, according to police.
At about 3:46 p.m., a park police officer was patrolling the North Salado trail system behind Walker Ranch Park.
The officer then noticed a suspicious object inside the "wooded area." When he entered the area, he discovered an abandoned golf cart wedged into an overgrown shrubbery. It also had a tarp covering the passenger area.
The officer removed the tarp, which revealed the body of a deceased man about 20-30 years old. The victim's name is yet to be released.
This is an active investigation but preliminary investigation shows that foul play might be involved.
