CASTLE HILLS, Texas — A former Churchill High School teacher has been arrested after being accused of having an "inappropriate relationship" with a 15-year-old student.
Castle Hills police confirmed they are investigating reports of an alleged "inappropriate relationship" that has been going on since November 2023 between the former educator and a student.
The former teacher has been identified as 36-year-old John Grist and police were able to obtain a warrant and arrest him.
North East ISD released a statement saying they were first made aware of the allegations in June and immediately opened an investigation, while Grist resigned.
Castle Hills police said the victim's parents are cooperating with investigators and added that they will be reaching out to any other potential victim's families.
