Cibolo man arrested on allegations of child porn, invasive recording

He faces a potential lengthy prison stay if convicted.

SAN ANTONIO — A Cibolo man was jailed after detectives found "multiple images depicting apparent child pornography" as well as footage from hidden cameras on his computer, authorities say.

Charles Darron Wyatt, 58, faces 27 counts of possession of child pornography and six counts of invasive visual recording after he was arrested Wednesday. Authorities with the Cibolo Police Department (CPD) said their investigation began in July.

He remains behind bars as of Thursday night on bonds totaling $1.5 million. The charges carry a possible sentence of up to 10 years in prison, in addition to $10,000 fines.

CPD says investigators will now work to determine the victims in the images found on Wyatt's computer. But, officials added that as of now "no indication exists that any children shown in the images are from the local area."
