Man dies from gunshot wound after downtown Dallas shooting, police say

Police said 28-year-old Justin Allen was found north of downtown with a gunshot wound before he died in a hospital.

DALLAS — Dallas police are looking for any information related to a shooting that killed a man Saturday evening.

In a news release, police said they were initially called to the 2700 block of Lemmon Avenue at about 6:30 p.m. When they arrived, they said they found 28-year-old Justin Allen with a gunshot wound.

Allen was then taken to a hospital where he was pronounced dead.

Investigators believe Allen was shot on the 200 block of Prather Street before he was found on Lemmon.
