A driver was arrested after allegedly hitting a man who was walking in a crosswalk and then fleeing the area Thursday night, authorities say.

San Antonio Police were called to the intersection of SW Military Drive and Roosevelt Avenue around 8 p.m.

Police say a man was walking across Military Drive at Roosevelt Avenue in a crosswalk while the street lights were red. During this time a blue Chevrolet Silverado pickup truck was traveling through the intersection when they struck the man causing serious injuries.
