'They put everybody in the public at risk': Suspects allegedly led deputies on a chase in stolen car, brandished gun at victim

Bexar County authorities say no one was injured in the robbery and subsequent chase.

SAN ANTONIO — A woman was carjacked at gunpoint at a gas station in Fair Oaks Ranch Tuesday morning and the three suspects were arrested after a chase later in the morning, authorities said.

Authorities said a victim was pumping gas at a convenience store on Tarpon Drive in Boerne when a vehicle with two men inside pulled up alongside the victim.

The man in the passenger seat got out of the vehicle with an "AR-15-style pistol" and demanded the victim's vehicle, a purple Dodge Charger, Sheriff Javier Salazar said. Authorities said the woman gave the man the keys to her car. They reportedly allowed her get her purse and garage-door opener. The suspects then fled the scene in the Charger.

Deputies were later able to track down and follow the stolen vehicle with the help of a Boerne car dealership, which had GPS tracking on the car. The car had been on loan to the victim while repairs were being done on her car.

"They flat-out told us: They went to this part of town because they wanted to steal a fancy car," Salazar later said.

Multiple law enforcement agencies chased the suspects for 60 miles with speeds reaching upwards of 100 mph. Authorities were able to successfully spike the stolen vehicle, leading to them being taken into custody.

One of the suspects is identified as Isael Aaron Hernandez, 18, who is charged with aggravated robbery, unlawful use of a weapon, unlawful use of a car and tampering with evidence.  Another one is Moses Jauqin Osby, 20, who is charged with terroristic threats, online impersonation, evading arrest and unauthorized use of a vehicle. The third suspect is Adrian James Garcia, 18, charged with aggravated robbery and unauthorized use of a vehicle.

"Criminals don't care where you are," Salazar said. "You've got to be aware of your surroundings, you've got to have your head on a swivel."

The sheriff also said the weapon the suspects had was possibly stolen. No one was injured in the robbery.
