SAN ANTONIO — A homeless man attacked and stabbed another homeless man with a machete west of downtown Wednesday, authorities say.
San Antonio police responded to a cutting around 11:30a.m. on the intersection of Cevallos Street and Laredo Street.
Police say the suspect walked up to another man and attacked him with a machete. It is unknown what led up to the attack.
The man was cut in the leg but sustained no serious injuries.
Police say the suspect has been detained and will most likely face charges of aggravated assault.
Both men were living under the bridge, police say.
The police sergeant on scene says officers have seen an increase in homeless carrying machetes.
No other information was provided.
