Man shot while putting child in car in northeast Bexar County, BCSO says

Authorities say a man was shot in the thigh and was transported to a local hospital.

SAN ANTONIO — Deputies are searching for suspects after a man was shot on the northeast side of Bexar County Tuesday afternoon. 

According to the Bexar County Sheriff's Office, deputies responded to a shooting in progress around 2:15 p.m. at the 5500 block of Lochmoor near Converse. 

Authorities say two female family members got into some sort of altercation when someone pulled out a weapon and began firing. A man in the area, who authorities say was an innocent bystander, was putting a child in his car when he was struck in the thigh. 

The man was transported to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries.  

Authorities say the suspects fled the scene in a white Dodge vehicle. No arrests have been made. 

No other information was provided.
