SAN ANTONIO — Two people have been arrested after an aggravated robbery took place at a vape shop back in early June, according to an arrest affidavit.

On June 8 at about 5:30 a.m., police responded to Vape City located at 3031 W. Woodlawn for a robbery in progress.

Once there, officers made contact with a 20-year-old woman who says she was working the shop that morning.

While working, she said that two women and a man walked into the store. For an unknown reason, they were refused service by the worker and they left shortly after.

According to the affidavit, the worker told police that they later returned. One of the women was waving a handgun around wanting "everything in a bag." The worker placed the money from the register in a bag that the suspects brought in. While the gun-wielding woman pointed the firearm at the worker, the two other suspects grabbed several pieces of merchandise. The three suspects then left the store with the stolen items and drove off in an unknown vehicle.

Surveillance video was shown to one of the managers of the shop who was able to identify one of the women as Yolanda Fuentes, 19. She said that she used to work at one of the vape shop locations. The other woman, the one waving the gun, was identified as Alyssa Gutierrez, 23. The manager said she had hung out with the both of them after work a few times.

While researching the suspects, investigators found a police report written 10 days before the robbery. This report listed all three of the robbery suspects as "victims" in an aggravated assault. While viewing the case, all three suspects were positively identified as the same names listed in the aggravated robbery case.

On Aug. 15, Gutierrez and Fuentes were both arrested for aggravated robbery, according to jail records.

The man in the robbery has not been arrested, according to jail records. It's unclear if he will be charged.
