SAN ANTONIO — New Braunfels police say a Laredo man was arrested after a traffic stop lead to the discovery of hundreds of pounds of marijuana in his truck early Thursday morning.
At around 3 a.m. New Braunfels police officers attempted a traffic stop on a silver Chevy Silverado pickup truck on Creekside Way.
Police say, during the traffic stop K-9 officer Sophie alerted that something was inside the vehicle. Police then discovered about 360 pounds of marijuana.
The driver of the pickup truck was identified as 39-year-old Manuel Roy Martinez Jr. of Laredo and was taken into custody without incident, authorities say.
Martinez was charged with discovery of marijuana. He remains at the Comal County Jail.
No other information was provided.
