SAN ANTONIO — The lead singer of Grupo Firme had a big weekend in San Antonio with a sold-out show and an after-party with fans, until thieves struck.
Eduin Caz and his award-winning band Grupo Firme performed at the Frost Bank Center on Friday night.
The owner of El Remedio Mexican Kitchen & Bar hosted an after-party at the Social Spot off Broadway where Caz showed up following the show.
Thieves reportedly broke into Caz's truck and stole two very expensive watches. The restaurant owner is now asking whoever took the watches to return them, no questions asked.
"They came out to show love, and unfortunately this had to happen to him," said the restaurant owner. "To the person that took the stuff. You can remain anonymous. We just want the stuff back."
He says the watches cannot be properly resold without documentation.
He adds that whoever took the watches can drop them off at his restaurant and he will return them to Caz.
