SAN ANTONIO — A man was found dead from a gunshot wound in a northwest-side apartment early Saturday morning, according to police.
At about 4:05 a.m., San Antonio police were called to an apartment complex in the 5300 block of Fredericksburg Road for a shooting in progress.
The caller said they heard gunshots from another apartment unit, followed by multiple rounds going through their apartment walls. Those rounds didn't cause any injuries to anyone in the caller's apartment.
Upon investigation, police say the gunshots came from an adjacent apartment. When they entered that unit, they found a man in his 20s with an apparent gunshot wound. He was pronounced dead at the scene, not positively identified.
There is no information about who the suspect is or what they look like. The investigation remains ongoing.
