SAN ANTONIO — A man is in custody after leading Bexar County sheriff's deputies on a short foot pursuit in the downtown area Wednesday afternoon, authorities say.
The incident happened off W Martin Street near W Houston Street around 1 p.m.
Deputies spotted a man identified as Raymond Gonzales, 25, who was wanted on multiple felony warrants including assault on a peace officer and drug possession.
Authorities say Gonzales took off on foot towards a nearby neighborhood when he saw the deputies.
Witnesses say they saw Gonzales running in the alleyways near their house.
