SAN ANTONIO -- Police say a man sitting in his car in a bar parking lot was shot dead Thursday night on the south side.
The fatal shooting happened outside Kathy's Darts and Pool, located in the 200 block of Moursund Blvd. around 11 p.m.
Investigators said the victim, 31-year-old Daniel Fernandez, suffered several gunshots to his head. He was found in the car with the windows rolled down, according to the San Antonio Police Department. Officers said that led them to believe the victim was possibly conversing with his killer just before he died.
Police are still searching for the suspect who drove off in a red Dodge Ram pickup truck, according to SAPD.
Officers at the scene told Eyewitness News that the people inside the bar did not hear the shots go off because the jukebox was playing. Nearby neighbors called police.
According to witnesses, the 31-year-old victim never made it inside the bar.
