SAN ANTONIO — A man plead guilty after his baby daughter was found seriously injured, with burns all over her body in November 2023, officials said.

Dustin Lawrence was sentenced to 15 years for Injury to a Child Serious Bodily Injury by Omission with no opportunity for probation. He also pled guilty to Endangering a Child, for which he received two years, according to the Bexar County District Attorney's Office.

The sentences will run concurrently.

In November 2023, Lawrence and Amanda Mann were arrested after their 1-year-old daughter was somehow doused in scalding water and instead of seeking medical care, the couple allegedly injected the girl with methamphetamine. When Mann and Lawrence checked on the baby the next day, authorities said the toddler's skin reportedly peeled off.

At the time, BCSO deputies said five other children were found at the home, including a 6-year-old who also tested positive for methamphetamine.

The duo faced multiple charges including endangering a child, endangering a child risking bodily injury, injury to a child resulting in serious bodily injury-reckless, and four counts of abandoning/endangering a child with intent, according to Bexar County Jail records.

The BCSO confirmed Mann and Lawrence were the parents of the baby girl.
