Man shot while walking through parking lot on west side, SAPD says

The man was transported to a hospital in critical condition.

SAN ANTONIO — A man was shot while walking through a parking lot on the west side of the city Monday night, authorities said. 

San Antonio police responded to a call in the 4100 block of W. Commerce Street around 9:15 p.m. 

Police said a man was walking through the parking lot when a vehicle drove by and fired one shot, hitting him. The suspect fled the scene before officers arrived. 

The man was transported to a local hospital in critical condition. No other injuries were reported. 

A description of the suspect or the suspect's vehicle was not provided. 

Police continue to investigate the shooting.
