The victim was able to give police a known alias of the suspect.

SAN ANTONIO — San Antonio police arrested a teen in connection to a west-side shooting that left one man injured early Saturday morning.

Officers responded to a shooting at a gas station on the 9600 block of Marbach Road around 2:40 a.m.

When police arrived they found a man in his 20s with a gunshot wound to his arm. He was taken to a local hospital in stable condition.

According to an arrest affidavit, the man was in the area along Longmont Drive to sell an item to someone he met on Instagram. While he was discussing payment with the customer another man ran up to them and shot the man twice with a handgun.

According to SAPD, the victim ran to the Circle K/Valero on Marbach and asked the clerk to call the police.

The victim was able to give police a known alias of the suspect. Upon further investigation, the police were able to identify Joe Flores-Ramos, 17, as the suspect, authorities said.

Ramos was arrested for aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.
