Woman accused of shooting, killing man after argument escalates at northwest-side apartment complex, police say

Police responded to a shooting at the 8000 block of Timber Path at the Villas De Sendero apartments around 1:50 a.m.

SAN ANTONIO — San Antonio police have arrested a woman after a shooting on the northwest side ended with one man dead early Saturday morning.

Alexis Salazar, 24, was arrested for murder. Police believe she is the victim's significant other.

Police responded to a shooting in progress at the 8000 block of Timber Path at the Villas De Sendero apartments around 1:50 a.m. and found a 30-year-old-man bleeding on a sidewalk.

Police said Salazar informed them she was outside with the man when an unknown person approached them and shot him.

The man was transported to the hospital in critical condition where he later died from his injuries.

Detectives continued their investigation and found evidence that did not match the initial story that was given to police. Investigators said there was a shell casing found inside the apartment.

Salazar was detained at the scene for questioning.

Investigators later determined Salazar shot the man after an argument occurred.

No other information was provided.
